Choc Berry Overnight Oats with Chia Jam

Serves: 1 Prep Time: 10 mins (+ chill time)


I N G R E D I E N T S

For the doug

For the chocolate oats:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup milk of choice

  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

For the berry chia jam:

  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup



D I R E C T I O N S


  1. Make the berry chia jam

    Add berries to a small saucepan over medium heat.Cook until softened and slightly broken down (about 5 minutes).Mash gently, then stir through chia seeds and honey.Remove from heat and allow to thicken as it cools.

  2. Prepare the chocolate oatsI

    in a jar or container, mix together oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla and cocoa powder until smooth.

  3. Assemble

    Layer the chocolate oats with the berry chia jam or swirl it through.

  4. Chill

    Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).

  5. Serve

    Top with extra berries, chocolate chips or a drizzle of nut butter if you like.


N o t e :


Rich chocolate oats with sweet berry jam

it tastes like a dessert but keeps you full and energised all morning

Store in the fridge for up to 2–3 days.
